INTRODUCTION
On 2023, Trade Stream collaborated with Kırmızıgül factory, one of the prominent manufacturing companies in Türkiye that own Redone brand, a very-well known products in the U.S, to create a revolutionary product called “Redone Locks Gel”. Through this project, we aimed to address a unique challenges of braided hair styling, in a way that provide customers with an exceptional experience of maximum hold, healthy and natural ingredients and nourishment. Our journey began in 2023 and culminated in the product launch in the U.S market in 2024.
THE CHALLENGE
It is known that he global hair care market is saturated competitive products that target braided hairstyles, and edge control. Based on our deep market research, we concluded that customers usually face challenges such as flaking, greasiness, insufficient hold, and damage to hair health. After we conducted the market gap analysis, Trade Stream decided to develop a product that combines effectiveness and nourishment for hair, ensuring an exceptional styling experience.
THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
This stage included several stages for the Redon Locks Gel development journey:
1. Conduct Market research: The goal is to identify and analyze the pain issues for customers with braided hairstyles through several methodologies including a direct collaboration beauty professional.
2. Product Development: We collaborated with experts both from the United States and the United Kingdom to test the formula, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
3. Testing and feedback: We Partnered with several hairstylists and barbers in different countries to test the product on their beauty salons, leading us to some product enhancement and adjustments.
4. Distribution: Leveraging Trade Stream’s expertise in logistics to export the first container of the product to the United States.
